looking for projects that are based on fundamental research, scientific
breakthroughs, and R&D-intensive innovations. The more patents you have submitted
and the more PhDs there are on your team, the better. We are not afraid of technical
language and know how to evaluate these kinds of opportunities!
In keeping with our tech & VC background and our goal of helping the world to become a better and safer place for future generations, we have defined deep tech as our primary investment focus.
Our
primary focus is Israel, which is one of the Top-3 innovation hubs in the world
and has the highest amount of unicorns per capita. Other locations with great
startup ecosystems and a strong deep tech showing – such as the UK, Switzerland,
and of course Silicon Valley – are also in our focus.
Series A startups are our sweet spot for investments, although we sometimes participate in seed and series B+ rounds in order not to miss out on great opportunities.

We do not typically lead rounds, but rather prefer to join a syndicate of top-tier co-investors, contributing with our deep tech expertise and added value. One of the ways we provide added value to startups is by supporting them with advanced business practices that they often lack on their way to reaching 100+ employees. The true 'secret sauce' and a pearl of our team is one of our venture partners, an HR executive with 20+ years of experience at leading international tech companies. Any HR issue – from executive search to co-founder relations and corporate culture will be addressed and the best professional advice offered.

Our formula of deep tech is the following: “Wide definition of deep tech minus crypto (but plus blockchain) minus biotech (but plus food & agro)”. Crypto, Web3, and biotech are each a separate ‘cosmos’ and we leave them to professionals & enthusiasts in those fields.
